DONATEUSH2025, the International Symposium on Usher Syndrome, is organized under the responsibility of Stichting Ushersyndroom and is made possible by the efforts of a group of enthusiastic volunteers. We try to limit the use of paid staff as much as possible. It is special that a scientific congress is organized by a patient organization and it is unique that this symposium will take place in the Netherlands. We want to do this as well as possible and as much fun as possible!The USH2025 Congrestival, on Saturday, June 21, 2025, will be the feast of the senses!  Where everyone can experience science, art, music and stories with all the senses. The sensory experiences will have a focus on sight, hearing, touch, taste and smell. Our ambition is to make USH2025 accessible to everyone. This requires a lot of extra effort, manpower and technology. There is a team of professional interpreters and we use modern resources such as Speaksee, for example. This makes the congress more expensive than a comparable scientific congress that does not have this challenge.
